My Mission
My mission is to help the clients I counsel feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate the different challenges and transitions of life. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be honest about what they are experiencing and feel supported as they work toward meaningful change.
About Me
A wise woman once said, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” Because of this, I believe it is important to have a safe space and/or person to retreat to when life hands you a chocolate you’re not particularly fond of. My desire is to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges, discover more about themselves, and pursue meaningful change.
As a practicum student, I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. I believe counseling is a collaborative process, and I want each client to feel respected, valued, and heard throughout that process. If you choose, faith can also be incorporated into the therapeutic process, as I am a Christian.
My Focus
As a student, I want to always remain teachable. My focus is to continue growing as a counselor while learning from each client, experience, and opportunity along the way. I want to become well-versed in multiple counseling theories and approaches so that I can better understand and support each client as they come in.
I believe counseling should not be a one-size-fits-all process, and I want to be able to meet clients where they are and consider what approach may best support their individual needs and goals. I am especially interested in helping clients navigate life transitions, build confidence, better understand themselves, and develop healthy ways of coping with life’s challenges.
Above all, my focus is to provide support with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment while continuing to grow into the counselor I am called to be.
